Who We Are

We are a grassroots organization founded by South Asian immigrants and first-generation Americans who share a common vision: helping our community thrive without the
barriers that hold us back.

As community members ourselves, we’ve experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating life between cultures—balancing family expectations, overcoming language barriers, and finding culturally sensitive support when we need it most.

We believe every South Asian deserves to live their fullest, most productive life, pursuing their dreams without the unique stresses our community faces. That’s why we’re here.

What we discovered

We conducted a community survey to uncover common issues affecting many of us. While not inclusive of all challenges we face, we identified key areas where support is most needed:

• Mental health stigma across all age groups

• Senior care and family support

• Navigating healthcare/medicare

• Language barriers in accessing services

These findings guide our programs, but we remain flexible to address emerging needs as they arise

Why These Issues Matter

We Get It: As members of this community, we understand the cultural nuances, family dynamics, and unique pressures South Asians face.

Breaking Barriers: Many of us struggle in silence due to stigma, language barriers, or not knowing where to turn for help.

Maximizing Potential: When we remove these obstacles, our community members can focus their energy on achieving their goals and dreams.

Strengthening Community: By helping individuals thrive, we strengthen our entire South Asian community.
